Who we are

"AppMaker", "we" and "us" refer to the operator of appmaker.io and the AppMaker Designer at app.appmaker.io. You can contact us at hello@appmaker.io.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store the name and email address you provide, and the credentials needed to sign you in.
Your projects. The applications you build in the Designer, including forms, scripts, database contents and configuration, are stored so that you can work on them and run them.
Usage information. We record basic technical information such as the pages you visit, the features you use, your browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and error reports. This helps us keep the service working and improve it.
Support messages. If you contact us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.

How we use information

To provide, operate and maintain the website and the Designer.
To sign you in and keep your account secure.
To respond to questions and support requests.
To understand how the service is used so we can improve it.
To send service notices, such as changes to these terms or important updates. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

Optional AI features

AppMaker will include optional AI assistance. When you use it, the relevant parts of your project and the instructions you type are sent to a third-party AI provider so that it can produce a response. AI features are off unless you use them. We do not use your projects to train AI models.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the service to work, for example to keep you signed in. The public website may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits. We do not use advertising cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run AppMaker, such as hosting, email delivery and, when you use AI features, AI providers. These providers process information on our behalf and under our instructions. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Your applications are yours

Applications you build belong to you. You can export them as standard Node.js applications at any time and run them wherever you choose. Data that your exported application collects on your own infrastructure is not covered by this policy.

Storage and security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention

We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@appmaker.io.

Children

AppMaker is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will let you know through the service or by email.
